I recently started a new reel series on socials called “Venue Vibe Check“. Each reel showcases some of my favorite Iowa + beyond wedding venues in different categories. This series has been so much fun creating and had me thinking about some of my all-time favorite venues to photograph weddings at!
With out further Ado… my favorite wedding venues in Iowa to photograph at!
Ahavah Venue – located in Waterloo, Iowa this beautiful modern venue is just minutes outside of the city. The inside is classy + filled with stunning natural light. One of my favorite things about this venue is that there is a bridal house on site where all wedding party members can get ready together which makes for beautiful storytelling images from your wedding day start to finish.
Walnut Ridge Venue – Located in Shellsburg, Iowa. So much love for this venue! Its open, modern, and on a 10-acre property which gives endless photo spots! This outdoor ceremony spot might just be my most favorite. Behind the alter is a small pond with a fountain, giving all the romantic vibes.
Frolic Event Center – Located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. This is a brand new venue opening in June 2026! I sat down with the owners and got the inside scoop on what is to come at this venue and you guys… I am SO excited! The owners have truly thought of everything, including having a covered outdoor area for a outside ceremony space for Iowa’s unpredictable weather.
