I’ve been chasing moments through a camera lens since about junior high, when I was “that girl” snapping photos with my bright red Canon point & shoot, my Iphone 4, or even my iPod touch. Photography has always been my way of capturing life’s little sparks, and it stuck with me through the years.
After nearly eight years in HR, I realized my heart wasn’t in spreadsheets + employee morale — it was in capturing real love stories. In 2021, I took the leap and turned my passion into Honey Lens Photography, and I haven’t looked back. Every wedding I photograph reminds me why I do this work: for the joy, the laughter, the happy tears, and all the little moments couples didn’t even realize were happening.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a wife and a mom, dreaming of being a homesteader while I spoil our little flock of chickens and trying to keep my sourdough starter alive.
What I love most about photography is getting to know couples and showing up as more than just a photographer — I’m your friend, your cheerleader, and your partner in making your wedding day feel completely unforgettable.
Stiff poses and forced smiles make for forgettable photos. The images you'll actually want to hang on your wall are the ones that happened naturally — the ones where you forgot I was even there.
My approach is down-to-earth, encouraging, and genuinely fun. When you feel relaxed and like yourself, it shows in every single frame. My job is to make sure you never feel awkward or unsure — just present and happy
Not just the first kiss or the first dance — but the deep breath before you walk down the aisle, the way your person looks at you when you're not paying attention, the laughs with your bridesmaids that nobody planned for. Those are the ones you'll keep coming back to.
The laughter, the happy tears, the chaos and the calm — all of it deserves to be documented. I care deeply about making sure your gallery tells the full story of your day, not just the highlight reel.
I'm in your corner from the moment you book until the last photo is delivered. Think of me as your biggest cheerleader, your day-of hype person, and your new friend who just happens to be really good with a camera.
The way your hands find each other without thinking.
The deep breath before you walk down the aisle.
The belly laughs, the quiet tears, the chaos, the calm..all of it.
Those are the moments you’ll come back to.
My approach is rooted in documenting your day as it unfolds naturally, while also gently guiding you when you need it so you never feel awkward or unsure. You don’t have to perform here. You just get to show up and be fully in it.
